Comparison between Real and Virtual Communities

The means at the disposal of the on-line communities can be different, nevertheless the form of communicating will be basically same. The virtual communities need confidence, identity, leisure zones, such as in any real community. The only difference resides in the space of meeting of the individuals. Here, on the contrary of the real communities, it is allowed that in the same context people communicate much-with-many.
If we pay attention to the method and to the type of communication, we can build a scenery where there is SPEECH, being a synchronous type of communication, needing a certain physical proximity completed for contexts of one-for-one or few- for-few ; then the WRITING, frequently assynchronous, and ,therefore, a type of communication one-for-one or one-for-many people; the TELEPHONE, synchronous, is a communication of one- for-one, but does not need geographical proximity; the Audiovisual and radio phonic communication , synchronous type, and a one-for-many communication; finally, the INTERNET, which can be synchronous or assynchronous, and which has the advantage to be a communication of many people for many people.
